Mayfly Season brings a rare window of opportunity on the River Test — fleeting, exciting and not to be missed.

Bring your catch back and let us know in advance to arrange your Catch of the Day Experience. Our chefs will cook it up with seasonal vegetables and accompaniments, simply and beautifully.

And if one day on the river isn’t enough (it rarely is this time of year), make a stay of it in one of our luxurious en suite bedrooms and enjoy a hearty breakfast before your next day’s fishing.

The end result of the work is a triumph; every aspect of the site and the building looks stunning and works together to make optimum use of everything there.

The Hot Smoked “Chalk Stream” Trout was simply divine and the tastiest dish I have experienced in a very long time.

The fresh food served was a perfect match for the setting; completing the experience for us on the evening, and we will be back!

What amazing place to visit. This will now be my number one go to establishment.
